These easy-to-make sushi recipes will become your go-to guide for quick meals every day.

1. Baby Sushi

Sushi rice (200 g)

Water (375 ml)

Rice wine vinegar (3 tbs)

Sugar (1 tsp)

Nori seaweed (6 sheets)

Carrot sticks (1 cup)

Cooked beef (about 150 g or more if needed)

Cucumber slices or sticks (1 cup)

Soy sauce (to serve)

Sliced avocado (1 cup)

Pickled ginger (to serve)

Total Cooking Time: 30 minutes

 1. Combine the water and rice in a saucepan, cover, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a low level and cook for 10 minutes. Then turn off the heat and leave it covered for another 10 minutes.
2. Place the rice in an airtight container to cool. Stir the rice thoroughly after adding the sugar and vinegar.
3. Using scissors, cut a nori sheet in half and set the glossy side down on a bamboo mat. Place some rice on this sheet and press it down with wet fingers until it reaches a thickness of 0.5 cm. On one end, leave about 1 cm. It will assist you in rolling sushi.
4. Place the fillings (cooked meat, carrot sticks, and sliced avocado) on top and roll it tightly from one end. Wet the strip on the other end and gently press it on the sheet to seal it.
5. Use the remaining sheets to make sushi rolls.
6. With a damp, sharp knife, cut the rolls into a few pieces. Cover the pieces with plastic wrap and place them on a serving plate. Allow for the nori to soften in the refrigerator for 30 to 60 minutes. Serve with soy sauce and pickled ginger.
