The new WhatsApp feature is for those who do not want their messages to disappear after a certain period of time.
WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will benefit users of the “Disappearing messages” feature. WaBetaInfo discovered a new “Kept Messages” feature that will allow users to keep disappearing messages for as long as they want. The platform is constantly developing new features, but the majority of them prove to be useful in some way. The new “Kept Messages” feature is also crucial. Everything you need to know is right here.
WhatsApp has long had the “disappearing messages” feature. So, if you enable it and set the timer to 24 hours, all messages will be deleted once the timer expires. But what if someone wants to keep all of the messages and does not want them to disappear after a certain period of time? WhatsApp is working on a feature called “Kept Messages” to help with this.
People will be able to save all conversations even if the “Disappearing messages” feature is enabled with the new feature. According to the cited source, both the sender and the receiver will have the option to save chats. Remember that the conversations will be saved for both people. WhatsApp will also provide the option to delete the same chats if a user decides not to keep the chats for whatever reason.
People will notice a new icon at the top of the chat box that appears only after long-pressing on a message. That option may allow you to keep or delete chats. Furthermore, as the screenshots suggest, users may only have one chance to save vanished chats.
The new feature was discovered in a WhatsApp beta update for Android 188.8.131.52. It is currently unknown when WhatsApp intends to make this feature available. It is currently in development and will be released to beta testers first. Once the test is completed successfully, the feature will be included in the app’s stable version. It is unknown whether this feature will be added to the iOS version.
