Argentina’s bright future Lionel Messi has arrived in Qatar to compete in the FIFA World Cup 2022, which kicks off on November 22 with the hosts taking on Ecuador. Messi is the World Cup’s main attraction. There’s a reason for this. He is regarded as one of the greatest modern-day footballers and a global icon. Second, Messi is possibly playing in his final World Cup, as age is not on his side. Messi dropped a bombshell on his fans in a recent interview when he hinted at retiring from the sport. He stated that he does not believe he can continue playing football.
“I love football, I enjoy playing it, it’s the only thing I’ve ever done in my life, and I’m sure whatever I do next will be related to it, though I’m not sure what. I don’t think I’ll be playing much longer “. Messi went on to say that while playing football was a big dream of his, balancing life with three children was a big challenge for him.
“I’m not sure, so many things happen… It was a childhood dream of mine to be able to play in Argentine football; I would go to the field and wish to be there. But it now depends on a variety of factors. I have a family of three children, and I recently experienced a significant change in my life that was difficult for me and my entire family. Now that I’ve gotten over it, we’re feeling fantastic.”
Messi is in Qatar for his fifth World Cup. He has failed to win on each of the four occasions, with Argentina reaching the final and losing to Germany in 2014. Argentina was eliminated in the second round in 2018. Messi hopes to end his career on a high note in 2022.
Argentina recently played a warm-up match against the United Arab Emirates, and Messi also scored. Angel Di Maria, Lautaro Martinez, Nicolas Otamendi, Paulo Dybala, Alejandro Gomez, Rodriigo De Paul, and Emi Martinez are among Argentina’s standout players this season.
