Google provides 15 GB of free storage for your Google account, which can be used to store files from Google Drive, emails, and photos. Nevertheless, a lot of users frequently find that their Gmail inbox is overflowing with unsolicited emails from marketers and promotions. Users are advised to routinely remove their unwanted emails in order to conserve space. Although Google users can delete multiple emails at once, there was not an option to do so until recently. It would not be possible to remove every promotional email at once, for instance. One page at a time, you had to choose which ones to remove.

It appears, though, that Google is now providing an option to remove all of your emails or all emails in particular categories—like those that include unsubscribe options. With the new feature, users will be able to permanently clean their Gmail accounts by mass deleting emails in addition to making space available.

This is how users can now delete all emails in Gmail with a single click thanks to the bulk deletion option.

Step 1: Open a web browser and log into your Gmail account.

Step 2: Select the checkbox located to the left of the refresh button at the top of your inbox. This will make every email on the first page selected.

Step 3: Choose “Select all X conversations in Primary” by clicking the blue text. This will pick every email in your inbox, even the ones that aren’t showing up on the first page right now.

Step 4: Select the delete button, which has a trash can-like appearance. All of the chosen emails will be deleted as a result.

Step 5: To clear space and delete all the emails in a category, you can use a similar procedure in the promotion and social categories, in addition to Inbox.

The following procedures can be used in the interim to remove a large number of emails from a particular sender or time frame:
Step 1: Open Gmail and enter the following search term into the search bar:
after:2023-11-01 FROM: sender_email_address TO: sender_email_address
Replace sender_email_address with the email address of the sender whose emails you want to delete, and 2023-11-01 with the start date of the time period whose emails you want to delete.
Step 2: To the left of the refresh button, click the checkbox at the top of your inbox. This will select all emails that match your search criteria.
Step 3: Press the icon for trash. All of the chosen emails will be deleted as a result.
If you happen to delete an email in the interim, you have 30 days to retrieve it from the Trash folder.
