A teammate’s girlfriend is allegedly being sexted by Pakistan captain Babar Azam, according to videos and voice recordings that have gone viral online. The content, whose veracity is still up in the air, is said to depict a topless Babar having private conversations with the unidentified woman.

One of the allegations, which have been widely reported by Pakistani and Indian media, is that Babar made a promise to the woman that if she continued to sexting him, his spot in Pakistan’s XI team would be secure.

The initial tweet making the accusation came from the verified Twitter account of Dr Nimo Yadav, who wrote: “Babar Azam sexting with GF of another Pakistan cricketer and promising her that her bf won’t be out of the team if she keeps sexting with him is just.

“I hope that Allah is watching this.” The internet is divided because the account is a parody page.

Many believe the information is accurate and will get Babar in trouble, while others believe it’s part of a deliberate campaign against the Pakistan captain. Since then, he has become popular on Twitter using the hashtag #StayStrongBabarAzam.

Babar’s leadership has come under fire recently as a result of Pakistan’s recent poor play. Pakistan lost 3-0 to England in a home Test series, drew a two-Test series with New Zealand, and then lost 2-1 to the Black Caps in an ODI series.

Babar has previously been involved in controversy off the field. A sexual harassment claim was made against Babar in 2020, but it was later dropped the following year.

Babar posted a happy photo on Monday while appearing to be on vacation in Sydney, so the potential scandal doesn’t seem to have any effect on him.

He captioned the image of the Sydney Harbour Bridge with “Doesn’t take too much to be happy.”
