According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is getting ready to roll out a new feature that will let users respond to messages within announcement groups on iOS. According to the report, the instant messaging service will publish an in-app banner to let users know when the update is ready for download.
Users must update their apps from either the App Store or the TestFlight app in order to access the new feature. The function is still being worked on but is soon to be made available on the iOS application.
WhatsApp is developing a Report feature for its Status in addition to the message reactions feature. The chat company intends to make this feature available for both desktop and Android users. Users can basically report Status updates that violate the company’s Terms of Service using Report Status.
All of Prime, half the price.
Qualifying government assistance recipients can access all of Prime for $6.99/month (reg. /month).
Users will notice a Report button in the Status feature once the update is live. When a Status is reported, the content is sent to the moderation team for review to determine whether it actually breaches the company’s Terms of Service.
In order to make it simpler to edit text within images, videos, and GIFs, WhatsApp also plans to introduce sophisticated editing tools, such as an alignment text manager.
The fonts that will be added in the future were revealed in the most recent WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.3.7, though the feature is still under development. The updated text editor, which is also rumoured to be currently under development, will also feature the new fonts.
In order to improve the user experience, WhatsApp is constantly developing new and improved features. The platform is currently working on a number of new features, including the forthcoming message reactions feature, Report Status, and an updated text editor for the drawing tool.
